My name is Niki Tubacki. I am fourteen years old, and I have been living with arthritis since I was about two years old.
In the past two years, my arthritis has morphed into Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, another autoimmune disorder. Because of this disease, my life has changed in many ways. A few of the ways are:

*23 pills a day
*Two shots a week
*Five blood transfusions
*Over one year of missed school
*Over three months of hospital stays, including one month-long stay in December of 2006
*Painful, swollen joints each day
*Six rounds of chemotherapy

I am tired of having to stay home from school becuase it hurts too much to walk - of having to get multiple pokes for blood draws and shots - of feeling sick because I have to take so many pills. I want that to change. That's why I'm participating in the Arthritis Walk.
Will you help us find a cure? Please, donate to the Arthritis Walk. Help me reach my goal. Or come to walk with me in Traverse City on May 16th. If possible, do both. Please, help find a cure.
